Scientific Innovation

Hannah turns science into startups. She works hands-on with founders to turn research into ventures, builds biotech ecosystems, and bridges European and US innovation networks. She approaches the world with a scientific mindset, shaped by her education in biology and neuroscience and diverse experiences in research, startups, and VC.

Academic Foundation: Hannah holds a bachelor's in biology from Amherst College (focusing on neuroscience) and a master's in molecular medicine from Charité. Her education equipped her with a strong understanding of biological systems and spans multiple disciplines, including data science and programming, adding technical perspectives.

Research Experience: Hannah has sought a wide range of experience, across fields and countries. She has worked in field studies in Peru, plant molecular genetics, in neuroscience with zebrafish at Amherst College, alongside PhD students at Alicante's Institute of Neuroscience, in electrophysiology in Charité's Rosenmund lab, and on computational projects with the Herzel, Schmal and Granada groups.

Startups and Investing: Hannah leads life sciences at UNITE, Berlin's state-backed deep tech startup factory, where she works to translate breakthrough research into ventures and connect scientific founders with the support they need to scale. Her previous experience spans roles at an AI tech startup, family office TruVenturo, and Apollo Health Ventures, where she worked in early-stage investing and company building in bio- and neurotech. As Co-Managing Director of Nucleate Berlin, she continues supporting scientific founders and has grown the chapter into a key player in the city's biotech ecosystem.
