Scientific Innovation

Hannah works where science meets startups. She helps founders turn research into companies and builds the ecosystems that support them, in Berlin and internationally. Her background is in biology and neuroscience, and she still thinks like a scientist.

Today she leads life sciences at JUNI, Berlin's state-backed deep tech startup factory, where she works hands-on with scientific founders and bridges European and US innovation networks.

Before JUNI, Hannah worked in early-stage investing and company building in bio- and neurotech at Apollo Health Ventures and family office TruVenturo, with earlier experience at an AI startup. As Co-Managing Director, she built Nucleate Berlin into a key player in the city's biotech ecosystem. Her years in research ran from wet lab to computational: field biology in Peru, zebrafish neuroscience at Amherst College, developmental neurogenetics in fruit flies at Alicante's Institute of Neuroscience, and electrophysiology and computational projects at Charité. She holds a bachelor's in biology from Amherst (with a focus on neuroscience) and a master's in molecular medicine from Charité.

With her partner Chris, she hosts valence dinners connecting scientists, founders, investors and ecosystem builders.
